Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)

Lymphatic drainage aims to increase the volume and speed of lymph to be transported through lymphatic vessels and ducts, through manoeuvres that imitate physiological pumping. It has a direct influence on increasing tissue oxygenation, favours the elimination of toxins and metabolites, increases the absorption of nutrients through the digestive tract, increases the amount of liquids to be eliminated and improves intestinal absorption conditions, among other functions. As a result, there is: reduction in swelling (lymphedema), greater hydration and cellular nutrition, faster wound healing (as a result of better blood supply resulting from the reduction in swelling) and faster reabsorption of bruises.
